About the Author
Ronald Comer has been a professor in Princeton University s Department of Psychology for the past 27 years and has served as Director of Clinical Psychology Studies for most of that time. He is also currently the director of the department s undergraduate program. Professor Comer has received the President s Award for Distinguished Teaching at the university. His course "Abnormal Psychology" is one of the university s most popular, and he has offered it almost every year since his arrival at Princeton.He is also a practicing clinical psychologist and serves as a consultant to the Eden Institute for Persons with Autism and to hospitals and family practice residency programs throughout New Jersey. Additionally, he holds an adjunct position as Clinical Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the UMDNJ Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In addition to his abnormal psychology textbooks with Worth Publishers, Professor Comer has also published a number of journal articles in clinical psychology, social psychology, and family medicine. Professor Comer was an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania and a graduate student at Clark University. He currently lives in Lawrenceville, New Jersey, with his wife, Marlene, and their dog, Annie. From there, he can keep an eye on his sons Greg, a resident of New York, and Jon, currently a Floridian and on the resurgent Philadelphia sports teams with whom he grew up."

This is my first college textbook that I actually took the time to read. My professor was very low tech, so there were no lecture notes, no PowerPoints, anything. This book is so wonderfully organized and interesting. It is full of information but isn’t too long either! I love it and I highly recommend it even if you don’t usually read your textbooks. It is updated for the DSM 5, so that’s a plus.
I've used kindle textbooks and digital textbooks before and the format of this one is slightly frustrating. There are no page numbers and no adjustable settings to get the actual text page numbers. Very impractical for a textbook as students need page numbers to cite. I am hoping my professor will accept kindle's version of "location" number but this is very much a fault on the publisher's part.
This was a required textbook for my psychology class, and I found it to be very easy to understand. Its only fault (in my opinion) is that it is a paperback. After taking it out of my backpack and putting it back a million times, the cover and first few pages became rather worn. It was one of the better textbooks I have used though.
They do not have a mobile app and the ebook has to read on a PC. As it stands this product is useless for the modern student who has multiple devices and would like to read the book while using public transportation to get to class or is on the go a lot. Textbook companies need to get with the times or people will just torrent the books and leave them out of the loop.
Never thought I'd like a psych. book. I rented this one for a needed class, but I'm considering buying it. Very interesting material.It arrived with very little wear and in excellent shape.
Great book for my college course but it's also interesting to read for leisure too if you're a psychology nerd like I am. I bring this to the laundromat to browse through even though I'm done with my course. It's THAT interesting!
Love this easy formatted textbook that has chapter quizzes and comprehensive glossary.
I don't like reading textbooks, but this one was super interesting. If you like psychology and have to read this book, don't worry, there's plenty of pictures and cool facts to keep you awake and even interested.
