This was a "required" book for nursing school. I am now in my final quarter and have had assigned readings from this book only a handful of times (it was mostly required as a reference for our paper we had to write on palliative/hospice care of dying children). Every time I read the chapters from this book in preparation for lecture, my instructor says something that contradicts what the reading says. When I say "But Wong's says ___," she informs that the info from that book is outdated. I really wonder why we even have assigned readings from this atrocious book.In conclusion, this book is full of errors and you are better off going to the AAP for more up to date information about peds.

I'm not happy with this book at all. Although it is very detailed, it's almost detailed to a fault. They introduce acronyms without even specifying what they stand for or what they mean! Although the information is very dense, it has an underlying expectation of extremely well-versed medical jargon and background knowledge.I find myself looking up dozens of terms each chapter. The book does have some great collections of clinical signs and symptoms, which I do appreciate. However, each page is so poorly thought out and doesn't flow in a way that makes it easily comprehensible. Hate it, and I want to burn it..if only I didn't rent it, and if only I didn't need it for my class.

Textbook for nursing school. It was easy to read and navigate and gave pertinent information so that I could pass my nursing pediatrics class with an A. I am not a fan of attending lectures, but prefer to read a textbook on my own time, so this book was good for me.

I bought this online book solely for the auditory purpose. I find that the book was reading for the reverse column. I ask amazon to fix it unfortunately till now, the book still read aloud from the reverse end. I am about to buy another book but found out that all the nursing books that I need have similar problem. if you are buying solely for the auditory purpose I will say do not buy it,

This is by far one of my favorite nursing textbooks. I like how organized it is. Whatever you don't understand in the text, there is a chart to break it down and make it better to comprehend. Also, the workbook is a GREAT companion to the textbook and helps students pass the exam. To be comfortable about passing the exam, register the book online on Evolve and do the critical thinking and NCLEX questions for each chapter. You will for sure pass the exam because everything ties and works together. Pure awesomeness!

A must have for a nursing student.. a good buy.

This book is very much used and in not the greatest condition. I was under the assumption it would be in better condition.
