First, I’m a big fan of Pat Beith and the work from Athletes Acceleration. With that said, the new book is absolutely fantastic! It covers so many important and up-to-date topics in performance training for the athlete and coach from some of the most respected names in the industry today.Topics include: program design, warm-up, speed and jump training, strength training and power development with Olympic weightlifting, conditioning, training the youth athlete, and training the female athlete. As you can see here, these are some of the most relevant topics in the strength and conditioning industry today. And, each chapter is written by one of the top coaches on the respected topic.The book not only provides the core concepts and the practical applications, but simplifies what can be perceived as complex information. Each chapter also provides the scientific references for the stated material, which I find extremely valuable.Whether you’re a seasoned coach or new to performance training, this book builds the knowledge to improve performance and enhance athletic development. So many insights in the book and it’s compiled an enjoyable, easy-to-understand format.Love the book. It's outstanding work and highly recommended for all coaches and athletes! Well done.

Previously read Bobby Smith and Adam Feit's training the female athlete. I found this book as a result of following them and their work. Great book on fundamental development of the athlete. The section on jumping and landing is especially useful. Several very sound contributors to this book. Great addition to any library or coach involved with young athletes.

Love the book!!! Tons of wonderful information and practical information from some of the best in their field! Only critique I have is that the drills and exercises listed in each chapter are only in written form. There are so many drills and exercises and terminology for the same drill/exercise can always vary depending on many factors. It would have been nice to have visuals to accompany each exercise/drill to help in implementing them so that a Google search wasn't necessary for many of them. If that isn't practical, having a resource to go to of some kind (pictures in the back of the book, online resource) would have also been extremely helpful. Other than that small issue, this book is great!

I have purchased programs from Athlete's Acceleration and I have been pleased with the content. When I learned of the new book, I figured it was something I would want in my library. I just received it yesterday and browsing through the chapters my first thoughts are: easy to read format and information that I will want to put to use with my youth track athletes, my kids, myself and my physical therapy clients. I am looking forward to delving in deeper.

I’ve been taking courses with Athlete Acceleration over the last couple years and having a book with all the information from each course and it’s Coach is awesome. Now, I can coordinate my notes with the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to add to their knowledge base for sports performance. It’s like the Bible of Sports Performance training covering: Speed, program design, conditioning, jump training just to name a few. Must add to your library

This is a fantastic resource from the best trainers in the business! The book is divided into 8 topics with each coach having their own section. It has tables, photos in addition to the descriptions that are easy to read and understand. I am ready to apply some of this information in my training tomorrow.

Very informative. It gives guidance on every aspect of training athletes.

I purchased The Complete Sports Training book. After I received it, I couldn't put the book down. If you train athletes like I do, this is a must investment. The book is thorough and well written. You won't be disappointed. Definitely a five star product.
